Description

The First Thanksgiving Webquest is a fun and engaging way to use technology while learning about the Thanksgiving holiday. Whether you are in a 1:1 classroom or only have access to a computer / tablet or 2 this Thanksgiving activity is sure to have your kids learning about more than Thanksgiving. Students will use their technology, reading comprehension, and writing skills as they venture into the First Thanksgiving.

In this study, students will use the Webquest to visit 5 websites about the First Thanksgiving, the life of the Pilgrims, and the Wampanoag People. As they visit each website students will answer questions on the enclosed Student Answer sheet.

The Webquest is provided in 3 formats: digital version via Google Drive download, PDF with clickable links and QR codes. Just pick the version that works best for you!

Question and Answer sheets can be printed out or digitally shared with students which makes it perfect for classrooms with 1:1 technology!

This would be a great activity to use in the computer lab, in smal groups or as whole class instruction. Great for individual stations or centers too!

NOTE: This webquest requires the use of Flash Player. If you are using an iPad or iPhone you may need an additional app in order to view the websites in this webquest. There is an app called Photon Flash Player for iPad that will work for this.

I hope you and your students enjoy this activity!
