SHARK! Subtraction Math Center is a fun way to help your students learn, practice and master subtraction! Kids love sharks – so use their excitement and intrigue to get your students engaged in this hands-on subtraction center. Subtraction can be a tough concept for our students to grasp, so lots and lots of hands-on practice is needed for them to master subtraction concepts.

In this pdf download you receive everything you need to set-up the SHARK! center in your classroom. Simply print out the center cards and you are ready to go. Each center card contains a subtraction number sentence with corresponding pictures. Students will use the enclosed shark manipulative to model the action of subtraction or “taking away.” Students can then document their findings on the enclosed answer sheet. This hands-on approach to learning helps all of our students.
