Well here it is, SUMMER, and if you are reading this you are doing what teachers do best – thinking about school!  It’s a blessing and a curse.  So, if you are going to be thinking about school and getting prepared for next year – then you might as well have some fun doing it!  I’m so glad you found the Summer Stock-Up!When it comes to setting up my classroom I, like you, put a lot of thought into what I my room to look like and feel like.  My goal is always to make an inviting and comfortable room for my students.   When I moved to kindergarten I spent lots of time thinking about my decor.  I finally decided on an Eric Carle theme.  I LOVE Eric Carle – his books, his illustrations, really just everything about him!  I hit the internet and was really disappointed that there was not much out there in the classroom decor category.  So I decided I would just make it myself.  The result is my Eric Carle Inspired Classroom Theme.

I have tried to include everything a teacher could want in this theme.  As a teacher myself who is always looking for a good deal, I try to be mindful of the teacher budget.  This is why I have each item separate in my store.  This way you only have to buy the items that you will use in your classroom.  For those that want it all, I have bundled the items together with a discount for the bundle.  So here’s a glimpse of just a few items in the Eric Carle Inspired classroom theme.

There’s many other components to this theme.  I have each of these classroom items available individually and in a bundle that allows you to save over 20%.  The bundle even has some bonus items that you can’t buy individually.  I even have many of the resources available in Spanish too!  You can find them all by clicking on the caterpillar below!

This is one of my Pinterest finds!  The caterpillar adorns
the corner of the room!

Here’s a few pictures of how I used this theme in my classroom.  I used the resources I created and also things I could find in teacher stores and online.

I used old Eric Carle book jackets to hand from the ceiling and on the wall.
I love the Hungry Caterpillar comforter as a rug.
I found a similar comforter online.  Click here to see it.
I was delighted when I found wash tape to match the theme. (Click Here for listing – Tape #132)
It added a little pizazz to my mailboxes.
The Hungry Caterpillar buckets were from the
Target Dollar Spot a couple years ago.
Here’s my math wall with numbers (from my TpT store) and colors.
I used the animals from the Brown Bear bulletin board set.
You can find it on Amazon by clicking here.

The words I cut out using our die cut machine at school.
In the hallway I hung the Welcome to Kindergarten banner.
The animals on the wall are reusable wall decals.
You can find them on Amazon by clicking here.
Here’s my Word Wall using the Alphabet Cards from
my TpT store.  The cards come in 3 different sizes.  The
Eric Carle border I found at a local teacher store.

I hope these give you an idea of how you can use this theme (or any theme) to make your classroom a fun and inviting place for your students.
